We loved getting to head up to Ephraim, UT for a special 4th of July reunion with my mom's side of the family!!! It was the first time any of us had seen the Manti Temple, and it was so beautiful. I want to take a trip back up there just so I can go in and experience its full effect.
From yummy food to fantastic activities, this year's committee did a fabulous job! Trisha headed it up--you think I'm crazy for going there 8 months pregnant, she was IN CHARGE of this at 8 months pregnant! Of course, she got to have her baby early and I am now overdue a still large and in charge, but I think she deserved that little perk--don't you???
After the reunion my family headed up to Park City for our annual week that we do each summer. The best thing about doing it on the reunion years is that our whole family is there--including Adam this time! He has not come to a full Park City week since we were newly weds at BYU. Speaking of which, we spent a day there and the kids loved walking around campus, eating BYU brownies and drinking BYU chocolate milk, and visiting the Bean Museum. So many cool animals that you can see up close and personal (thanks to the fact that they are dead)!
Park City would not be complete without a trip to the Alpine Slide. It has become quite the little amusement park and we ended up spending about 2/3 of the day there--only taking a break because it shut down for some afternoon rain. Daniel was too small for the slide and coaster, but Steven and Rebecca loved it! Thanks to all the awesome cousins, aunts, and Grandpa who took turns being their adult riders!
Rebecca and Alison loved the trampolines. They got pretty high, too!
Adam was so amazing to do everything that 2 parents do since I was busy trying not to have the baby early and out-of-state (should have worked on that one a little less).
On our last full day we drove into the mountains for a picnic. It ended up being quite the adventure--even got a little nervous about our car making it all the way. We never found just the right spot, though, so we came out the other side and found a really cute little park with a great duck and goose pond. Thanks, Wayne, for navigating us through such a beautiful drive!
Family is just the best gift, ever. We can't wait to see everyone again!!!
